I've tried validating the files (which it says they are all okay) and nothing fixes this probem. I've re-installed the game several times, I've re-installed Steam and the game several times. I've tried updating my DirectX, I've tried updating my graphics card drivers, I've tried the tutorial fixes such as making it skip the introduction movies automatically, or running it in windowed mode, or downloading the file dx9d9 and placing it in my directory.
Whether you watch the introduction or skip through it the same thing happens. The circle rotates around about once and then it crashes, giving the error message that reads Both before AND after today's () patch my Fallout: New Vegas game crashes at the loading screen that immediately follows the introduction. So obviously I just got Fallout NV and I am having immediate troubles with it.
